I have experienced difficulty finding “full charge” bookkeepers. I have found that many individuals who claim to be bookkeepers have experience with some aspect of accounting, such as accounts receivable, but they do not have a knowledge of the complete accounting cycle. Therefore, I have often been unable to find a person with the necessary skills.
After reviewing The Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping course offered by The Accounting and Bookkeeping Center, I have concluded that it will give students the knowledge of the accounting cycle, as well as the computer skills, that are needed to serve my clients. Students who complete this course will have the training necessary for entry level employment in my firm.
