I have been a bookkeeper for two years. When I was first hired, the owner of the company sat me in front of the computer and told me which buttons to push and left me on my own. Until I took this class, I never fully understood why this accounting information was needed. Within 3 days, the light bulbs went off and I began to realize why financial statements are useful. I was also able to explain to my boss what we were looking at.
This has been a great learning experience.
