One of the most difficult parts of being a small business owner, regardless of industry, is the lack of recognition that comes for the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
In the accounting industry, that certainly rings true. No matter how hard a firm owner may work, they’re rarely, if ever, celebrated for the progress they led at their business.
That void of recognition is filled each year at GrowCon, the premier event for owners of bookkeeping, tax preparation, and advisory businesses. Along with three days worth of presentations from thought leaders in the accounting industry, attendees are treated to dinner, live entertainment, and award presentations at the annual GrowCon Gala.
These awards are given by Universal Accounting Center officials to the accounting business owners in attendance. Celebrating the unheralded, driven accountants who give dedicate the time, energy, and focus it takes to run a firm their due is a key function of GrowCon.
At the GrowCon Gala in 2025, held at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo, Utah. Universal Accounting Center President Roger Knecht and Event Director, Christi Richards, handed out 28 awards in total to attendees for their performance at their business in 2024.
The awards range from the fastest completion of Universal Accounting online courses, to best logo, to most improved business. The following is a complete list of awards handed out on May 5 in Provo.
