At Universal Accounting Center, we believe accounting and bookkeeping professionals deserve the tools, confidence, and support to build careers they value—and to be paid for the value they bring to clients. That is why we are excited to announce a new partnership with Geni Whitehouse and The Impactful Advisor.
Many in the UAC community will already know Geni from GrowCon 25 in Provo, Utah, where she spoke. Now we have the opportunity to work together more closely to help professionals strengthen their advisory skills and put those skills to use with clients.
Geni founded The Impactful Advisor to help bookkeepers and accountants move beyond compliance work and build more valuable advisory relationships. As part of our partnership, its training programs—including the Mentor Plus Level 5 Certified Advisor course and Tool Time webinar series—are moving to UAC’s learning platform at uacourses.com. Mentor Plus training includes more than 100 practical advisory tools that professionals can use in their work.
“This partnership lets us do more of what we do best, helping accountants and bookkeepers build the confidence to
price and deliver advisory services, while giving our students access to a much wider world of training and
support,” said Geni Whitehouse, Founder of The Impactful Advisor. “Roger Knecht and the team at Universal
Accounting share our belief that accounting and bookkeeping professionals deserve to be paid what they are worth,
and this affiliation makes it easier for us to help more of them get there.”
Bringing Level 5 to UAC
Bringing these programs together gives students a broader path for professional growth. New bundles will let them combine advisory training with UAC courses, certifications, and coaching in one place. We also plan to host joint presentations and webinars that draw on Geni’s advisory expertise and UAC’s broader curriculum.
For students already enrolled in Mentor Plus training, the transition will preserve completed coursework, enrollment dates, and access at no additional cost. Students will receive personal support as they move to their new accounts.
“Geni brings a passion to the accounting profession that is both loving and contagious,” said Roger Knecht, President of Universal Accounting Center. We look forward to collaborating with her to help more professionals confidently offer advisory services and build practices around the value they deliver.

Geni’s Presentation at GrowCon 25
At Geni’s GrowCon 25 presentation, “Accounting Beyond the Numbers”, she explained that, ultimately, the accountant’s purpose is to take “all of this financial information that we care about and give it to clients in a way that they can work with.”
Most business owners blame someone in the business for the problems they might be experiencing. They’ll say, “Sally is making this a problem.” But accountants really need to determine: is this a people problem or a process problem?
Businesses measure their success through key performance indicators, or KPIs. However, these KPIs are often set by managers who misunderstand the challenges that employees face day in and day out.
That is where an advisor can come in make a big impact. They have the ability to take a step back and assess the situation from a more neutral perspective. They can also make recommendations that will align the desires of upper management with the realities of the lives of lower level employees. Many of these lessons are expanded upon and supported with resources outlined in the Level 5 Plus Bundle.
We are excited to work with Geni and look forward to getting to know those already enrolled in Level 5.
